The book is 544 pages, A4 format, hardback and illustrated in colour throughout. Written by Colin Plant and members of the Herts Moth Group, it will include all the 1523 species of both macro- and micro-moths recorded in Hertfordshire. The species accounts will include 1248 distribution maps with colour to distinguish old and new records, analysis of status, conservation, food plants, flight periods and 595 flight charts. Introductory chapters cover geology, habitats and conservation management. The final chapters assess the current status of our Moths and propose a Red List for Hertfordshire's Moths.
