A Date with Nature - Heron watch - in Verulamium Park 
Hot news - the Herons now have chicks - The viewpoint is opposite the lake's largest island in Verulamium Park, St Albans you get good views of the Herons on their massive nests on the island. Volunteers armed with exciting facts about the birds are on hand to help visitors of all ages use telescopes and binoculars to get a great view into the massive nests. Props and hands-on demonstration materials have proved a hit with younger visitors, helping them to find out more about these surprising birds.
