Enjoy a wild, family-friendly day out exploring nature in Cassiobury Park, taking part in fun activities and finding out more about the local organisations working for wildlife. Enjoy bird walks, nature crafts, discovering river creatures, and more, whilst finding out how you can help support the species that call this area home.

Wild Fest 2024 brings together a host of activities and local conservation groups.

A chance to discover what watery wildlife lives in the Cassiobury ponds and how to make a mini pond for your own garden or patio.  There will be bug hunts through the day plus guided butterfly and bird walks, with Butterfly Conservation and RSPB Watford (weather dependent), and guided walks around the HMWT Reserve. 

A schedule of activities is available on the website closer to the event and stalls will also have crafts and activities throughout the day. Acitivities are likely to include:

Wildlife walks including - butterflies, birds and Cassiobury Park Local Nature Reserve Guided Walk
Bug Hunts
Animal Olympics
Recycled drumming workshops
Face painting
Woodland crafts - make stick people, seeds bombs and natural arts in the park
Free wildflower seeds and mini pond kits.

Wildfest will be held on the grass area between the Hub and the Gade Avenue Car park but activities will be happening all over the park. Bring a picnic, come along and go wild!

Limited public parking available (charges will apply) so please walk or use sustainable transport where possible.
