The 2024 HNHS Autumn Meeting and AGM will take place on Saturday 16 November from 2 to 5.30pm at the offices of Affinity Water, Tamblin Way, Hatfield. AL10 9EZ

The speakers include Andrew Wood, author of Butterflies of Hertfordshire and Middlesex, who will talk about species and population trends including the most recent, disappointing season for butterflies. Marc Wilcox of Hertfordshire County Council will speak on the county's Local Nature Recovery Strategy, currently being drafted. 

The Society's awards for an outstanding county naturalist and an outstanding contributor to natural history will also be presented.

There will also be an opportunity to visit displays and the HNHS bookstall. Hertfordshire County Wildlife Recorders will be available to answer questions about recording and monitoring in the county.
